Welcome to the eduMart Marketplace for C2k Schools.
C2k, which is a service within the Education Authority, provides a core ICT service to all schools in Northern Ireland, including wide area and local area infrastructure, software & applications and connectivity. This service is delivered through the Education Network (NI), operated on behalf of EA by Capita.
Should schools wish to further extend their ICT provision, the capability exists for schools or suppliers to request the installation of third party hardware/applications onto their C2k network.
The eduMart process is designed to assess the physical connectivity / installation requirements relating to the integration of third party hardware/applications. The process:
- Will review and identify any potential security impact upon the C2k managed service that may arise from the network connectivity of third party hardware/applications.
- Is designed to assess any potential performance impact upon the C2k managed service.
eduMart is not an assessment of the educational suitability of third party hardware/applications and no testing of application/service functionality will be undertaken by EA/C2k or Capita.
Successful completion of the eduMart assessment is in no way an EA/C2k or Capita endorsement of the educational suitability of the third party hardware/application. The successful completion only verifies connection.
The Marketplace lists third party products that have been successfully assessed for connection to the C2k Network.
